Tasting note by Steven Spurrier

16.5 Points

Vibrant purple red colour, crushed summer black fruits on the nose, a touch of spice with notes of violets, shows the warmth of ripe fruit on the palate and the lift of fruits well masks the 14.5 alc due to ripeness, while retaining and enhancing the fleshy exuberance of Grenache. Now through 2016.

88 points
The black cherry and blackberry flavors have a gumdrop character in this ripe red, but lively acidity and light, brisk tannins impart freshness. Herbal and licorice notes add interest.

Food Pairing

Will go especially well with red meats, poultry, stews and cheeses.
